IMAGINATION LIBRARY

Imagination Library is a terrific program for young people up to 5 years of age. It is a project of Dolly Parton and sponsored locally by the Lake County Regional Office of Education. Once enrolled, children will receive a book in the mail each and every month until their fifth birthday. The program instills a love of books and reading and builds a library for each child. There is no cost to the program.  To sign up simply log on to imagintionlibrary.com/check-availability/, then answer a few questions and in 8-12 weeks the first monthly book “The Little Engine that Could” will be mailed to your address. A new book will follow monthly until your child’s fifth birthday.           Early Childhood Coalition of Lake County strongly encourages all agencies and programs to share this information with families.

Procedures for Scholarship Program

September 2025

In an effort to raise funding to support the ECCLC Scholarship Program the following plan is suggested:

Personal contacts with potential donors is the most effective manner to solicit donations. We ask each of you, Board Members, and or Service providers to create a list of individuals or organizations who might be willing to support the ECC Scholarship Program. From that list a personal contact to introduce the program along with a letter describing the program and procedures for donating. The personal connection from you is important, however you may forward your list of potential contacts to the committee via Matt Tabar for follow-up.

Asking for any amount from a few dollars to a larger donation will allow us to not only continue this quality endeavor, but to expand to a larger group of deserving students who may not otherwise be able to continue their education.

Please take the time to involve yourself and your agency to allow ECC to continue to provide scholarship funds for deserving students within our Lake County community.

If you have further questions or thoughts, feel free to contact Matt Tabar, ECCLC Vice President at 847-445-3897 m.tabar@sbcglobal.net or Jennifer Porreca 847-693-9051, jporreca@techcampus.org
